one layer, one shader

Hi all:

I’ve got a question on layers and shaders. Can I define different shader properties for different textures inside the same material? For example if you want to do a wet wall it should be great to do a material with no reflecting and specular properties but a layer with some reflectivity for the wet part of the wall.

I come from PovRay and as far as I know, in Pov is not possible. Is it possible in Blender?

Well I don’t think you could do that. But you can always create a node material an add materials and textures as you wish to get the desired effect.

Nodes can do ALL you want!
