Hey I have added a spot instead of the hemi and added a lamp to the same place to light the room better. I ve got my shadows back. But I still haven’t solved the contradiction how suitable to put a spot that lightens the room to pretend the light that is emitted from a bulp.
The table cloth is sticking out like a real fabric wouldn’t.
I suggest deleting the current model (in edit mode)
and replacing it with a heavily* subdivided plane.
*2k (or more) vertice
increace ‘E stiff’ to 0.5 and reduce the gravity.
(this is all a suggestion)
To save time I rendered this one with “ray” button off.

if you are showing us models, that is ok.
if you are showing us materials, keep that button on.
if it is the final render, keep that button on at all costs.
the walls need a texture. try going to http://www.mayang.com/textures/,
they would have that kind of thing.
otherwise, your doing the right things.
I remade the table cloth as remix_eyeballs suggested.Softbody is not heavily subdivided cos I had given a try but my pc sucked
.But there are more subdivisons now and I have made some changes on the soft body settings. It is still not good that shows me I have to spare time to learn makin’ soft body thoroughly. Here is the last render with ao on.It took 42 min.But the outcome is not like I expected. My best work here is the clock on the wall but its glass (thus the dial and hands)are not discernable with this ao settings.Maybe I should have add an extra lamp.
question" is the the table subsurfed? it might help the cloth look more real
In the previous images where you had the door, it looked like it was simply painted on, try reducing spec size and make it more matte. Just a suggestion. Nice work on the clock.
am i tierd or are the images too blury?
We should have a round of applause for moremun’s tablecloth.
The walls look much better. I’m glad you got the shadows to work.
I think the light bulb at the top of the picture is unnecessary.
The rug is currently a flat plane. I would look much better if it were 3D.
(see image)
The clock needs to be fixed.
Your picture gets better every time.

To remix_eyeballs:
thanx for your critics. When I look at what I can do with blender I am really pleased with it.But when I see what the other people do with blender it is really discouraging.I am determined to keep on working on it…
Here is my last render.I have just added a hat and an umbrella.Later on I will keep on changing things to improve it.
Both the hat and the umbrella should have softbody. That’s my only critique.
Keep going on this and your headed for the gallery.
I don’t think that this work is worthy for the gallery but thanx anyway.I don’t plan to use soft body for the cap and the umbrella at least now
If you compare the later renders to the earlier posts you will see that you have improved vastly. I would change the texture or image that is outside of the window
I added curtains and re-modelled the dresser and replaced with the old one.I am aware that there is a problem with the shadows and the clock ,I’ll solve it when I find some time.
Ok I have made a few changes and the problem with the clock is solved. Here is the result:
I am planning to remodel the window. It’ s evolving folks
Keep going on this and your headed for the gallery.
I meant that.
I’ve changed the places of a few things
The materials need work.
Could u be more specific or u mean all of them?
By the way here is the last render.I have just added a poster for the wall.
Hey,I’ve added a t-shirt with soft body. Also the curtains are with soft body.
(render time 3min)
