OOP Shift 9 window gets wicked to handle

I’ve made a sort of chess piece floor which goes on for a distance… each square is made of a cube mesh, 5x5 in a big unit. I tried using alt-d and shift-d, I can see what’s happening (not the inner details of how it can help you more), but I’m still getting lots of objects added…

is there a way to keep the OOP window clear and only have the 25 blocks for the 25x(how every many floor units I want)?

It’s a good idea to use layers on a complex scene. Then you can use the layer icon at the bottom of the OOPs window to Isolate them.

I’m starting to use layers in my latest project at the moment… a scene can only get too big before it starts getting hard to deal with.

Do you mess and arrange your OOP windows as you go to keep it tidy? Does it come to any use at all? Who uses this window regulary? don’t write a whole explaination on it… but name the process or name of what you use it for…

If the OOPS window arranged itself automatically in a usable way, i would definitely use it more
