I’m using blender and gimp to create these animated gifs, it’s very simple :
I feel hypnotized by your art. How did you do that? especially may 19 114 notes.
It’s a knot made with a curve addon for knots, mapped with a wood texture set to zero, then animated.

It’s just a texture animated on z axis, but here it’s not correctly looped.

- you should make some ‘Tall GIFs’ - i.e. something which when tumblr resizes to 500 width will be tall (i.e. and equivelant ration to 500x750-800 or somesuch).
Also if you want to make sure that a single GIF takes up the full possible size, save a transparent 1 pixel high and 500 pixels wide GIF on your desktop and upload that as the second image ;). Though you might already be doing that :).
