Open GL lights as relates to scene lights

Hi gang!
New to Blender (a Monstrous thank you btw to Neils tutorials) and already a a HUGE fan. Have used Lightwave for 12+ years (and some Maya/PowerAnimator/Electric Image) and am really missing only one feature so far…

In these other softs, the lighting in a textured view port is affected by the actual lights in the scene, when I move a light I could see specular highlights and such moving around. Most of my work is big ugly flying logos, so seeing how highlights happen from the lights in the scene is really easy.

Blender seems to do it differently by simply having the 3 OpenGl lights in fixed positions based on how you set them up in prefs.

The question: Is there any way to tie the open GL lights/colors/positions/settings to my scene lights 1-3? So when I move light 1 then the open gl light moves with.

OR - Am I missing something really painfully obvious?

hope this makes sense,
cheers!

Change to textured view mode. Open the properties panel (shortcut N), under Display, change the shading from Multitexture to GLSL

aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!
that’s the ticket.
thank you!!!
