Open-source ad

Hi everybody!

This is my first post on this forum and it’s about the animation I made with Blender about open-source software for a school project. So I would like some feedback of it!

(This is my first complete 3D animation)

Thanks!

Bump…

lol awesome! the slow motion blur was fantastic, I wonder how you did that?

very cool, some parts the mesh of the character penetrated the wall, this could be avoidable, but you ve got it done and it s fun to watch, congrats, i also liked very much the slow motion.

yearh super cool man!

I made the blur effect in post-production with Adobe Premiere Pro (I wanted to do all my project using GNU tools but somehow, Cinelerra didn’t worked very well when I tried to render my movie.)

And thanks for the feedback!

Hey.

Nice video all in all. But, some things I would change are:

Camera angles. Make them more cinematic. One of the things the team at dreamworks did when making Shrek, was to choose camera movements that only a realistic camera could make. Even though they could have done severe zooms and camera swoops it wouldn’t create a nice feel.

Character animations. I’m not an expert on this myself but I will say that the faster and more fluid the animation, the more fun it is to watch. Many 3d artists first learning animation make characters that move very slowly. But don’t worry I’m guilty of this also.

Textures. Up close some of the textures on the characters were blurred and flickering.

Music. Bit too crazy for my liking. But that’s just me.

Keep up the good work! You’re off to a good start!

PS. Off-topic for a blender forum but, what was the effect you used in premiere pro?
Thanks

Thanks redbyte for your comments!
I’ll try harder about textures

(PS. The effect used was Radial Blur with Zoom the method)
