Open Source Equivalent of Skethcbook Pro/Artrage?

I had to ask;

But is there any open source equivalent(NOT freeware, NOT demo, OPEN SOURCE) to Sketchbook Pro or ArtRage?

Thanks

LC

Go to xaraxtreme.org xara for linux is opensource and it has good drawing tools I think. Not exactly the same as artrage or sketchbook (I forgot if sketchbook is vector) but you can do a lot with the pencil and brushes in xara.

I believe Krita will be what you are looking for. From what I’ve read, the plan is to make it similar to Corel Painter, with natural media type tools. I’m assuming you are on linux?

Very cool!

BUT, it looks more like Paint.Net.
I’ll have to try it out when I get home, thanks!

Me, I like ArtWeaver(you can try it if you’re in Windows). Looks like a version of Painter Classic with better layer tools.

I liked that Sketchbook Pro trial, but honestly, I think ArtWeaver has given me more. For free.

That’s nice, but he specifically asked for software that is Open Source, not freeware… From what I see, Artweaver is not open source…

My bad. You’re right, he was very specific.
