This thread sounds like a great idea for an open source papercraft workflow:
There is a community of Halo fans who make their own armor out of cardstock and fiberglass (and other materials, but these are the most common) using a software for papercraft.
I suggest the thread above points the way for using Blender as a papercraft tool!
But instead of paper you would print on cardstock, and fiberglass the inside to give it strength, then pad it up.
Chris Bryan made a wearable master chief suit a few years ago out of matboard and fiberglass (not sure if there’s a difference).
The hard part would be in accurately modeling the Chief in Blender, scaling it to fit YOU, and then unwrapping the thing so the UV’s are actually printable.Hats off to Marty for the inspiration!!!
