Open source studio in Paris

Hi all,

I’m opening a studio in Paris focused on free software :

http://www.rvba.fr

I will frequently organize workshops on topics like :

  • Advanced presentations : animation tools, node editor, game engine
  • Exploration of the source code of Blender, writings small patches
  • Exploration of the 2.5 Python API , writing plugins

The idea is to share knowledge and create a network of Blender users and coders around Paris

If you interested in - and live near Paris - drop me a mail : contact at rvba.fr

Cheers

I must say, you are doing a great job of presenting yourself. I live in USA, but I hope you do well.

For anyone interested, he already has a bunch of projects he’s finished on the site. Just look in the gallery.

I would love to work at a place like that! nice site also.

This is really a nice idea. I’m sure it will all work out well because France uses a lot of open source software (for archviz entre autre).

good luck, bonne chance

Really nobody in Paris who want to make some money working with
free softwares in a really nice studio in the center Paris ?

If you know how to read plans and sections of a building
-or if you know someone who does -
and you want to work on blender, please contact me.

I can teach how to use Blender if necessary

thanks, cheerz

Sent you a PM. Let me know if you want to chat in further detail.

It’s really a good idea, the open-source studio in Paris.
In fact I’m a graduated architect (working for 2.5 years now) and I’m really interested since I’m learning Blender and Vray for the moment to do architectural visualisations.
I live in Brussels so Paris isn’t that far away, but still too far away
Since I have a French girlfriend, who knows someday we’ll move to Paris and then I’ll contact you.
Anyways, it’s a great looking site, and the portfolio is wonderful…good quality images.
Good luck with the studio.

Very interesting, I also have plans for setting up an open-source related commercial business (Here in Belgium). But that still might be a few years away from now. Too bad my French knowledge doesn’t go much further than “avair et être” afther 8 years of French at school, never had any interest in it at all…
