I highly recommend that you download this DirectShow filter. It acts as a codec for MPG4 based codecs (DivX, Xvid, …) and adds filtering capacities (sharpen, resize, blur, color and gamma correction, …).

I had problems with that codec on my WinXP system. Hope others have more luck with it.

Did you uninstal all your codec packs and DivX shits before installing?
