Open sourced real world robotics (cute robot alert!)

This is pretty interesting. DDL(Digital Dream Labs) purchased ANKI the makers of Cozmo and Vector personal robots some time ago now and have endeavored to make as much of Vector as open source as they can, with work progressing slowly but steadily.

All the original animation system for the Vector Robot is now available here on Github. It’s pretty intense and originally made in Maya.

I suppose this post serves as something of a pointer to see if any of the Blender community would be interested in adopting a real world tiny robot and come together to help make his animation system an open Blender based system. If so I suppose head over to the Git and take a look around, get involved etc.

Here he is converted from Maya into Blender, he looks nicer in Eevee with some sub-D’s.
