Openoffice.org help *not* needed ASAP

I have maths coursework due in tomorrow and were planning on doing it in openoffice. I can open the excel file but the Macros aren’t linked and I can’t run them. How can I fix this?
Any help mega mega mega appreciated especially if it comes quickly

Edit: Got answered on their forum, it’s not possible.
I’m screwed.

that sucks…

Yeah, Macros are a problem with any Excel conversion IIRC.

uh, the school requires people to buy windows and microsoft office to be able to do homework nowadays?

.b

Most schools use M$ Word & Access these days. There excuse is its standard.

Personally I think schools should have a variety of programs and allow the pupil to choose which one he/she wants.

@ basse:

I reckon the school would reply that people can freely use the programs in their computer labs, so no purchase is necessary.

Alex

Exactly. So simple.
It gets more complicated when you actually try to get ON one of their computers

Don’t tell me about it.
If ya don’t have a computer and you go to my school, you’ll have to sacrifice your breaks in order to get on a computer. And you can’t use any data storage device or print in color.
I say: OOo Writer is better than MS Word save in some minor points.

New_neo, any idea what the macros are supposed to do? Maybe we can help out with OOo macros.

MS Word may be better than OOo in minor points, Charlesworth999, but in four or five years of using OOo I’ve yet to find those points. Proprietary file standards that don’t mesh with international standards, no backward compatibility, a messed up menu system that puts items in odd places, pointless “features” no one ever uses but sounded good to the marketing department…bletch.
