In your opinion whats a better Graphics Card:
Geforce FX5700 LE 256MB AGP8X
or
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB AGP8X
Always go with Nvidia if you are to use Blender.

i have an asus. works great with blender.
Got a radion 9800 pro myself, works great with everything. The 9600 pro might be better with directx9 stuff than the FX 5700, it’s been awhile since I kept up to date on that stuff so I’d suggest looking up benchmarks comparing different aspects of the two.

I must say I like ATI more than Nvidia, having used both, right now I have a Radeon 9500.

Depends what you are wanting it for. I upgraded to my radeon before I started using Blender so can’t compare it with nvidia, but I have no problems at all with it. And for games, the 9600 pro is better than the FX 5700 from pretty much all benchmarks I’ve seen.
It’s best to research stuff like this yourself instead of just getting people’s opinions as the fanboys tend to come out on both sides. Look at what you want it for and find how different products compare when doing it. I side with radeon on this one due to the two cards you are comparing, the FX 5200-5900 were beaten by radeon in benchmarks, but the new nvidias (6600 or something) seem to be the best cards (comparing price and performance) at the moment.
Another thing worth noting was a thread here from awhile ago, a patch that could convert a 9600 pro into an ATI FireGL (graphics card designed for 3D work not games) that increased performance in 3D apps by about 30% according to benchmarks (if I remember correctly).
