Hello, I started using Blender a bit ago and recently started getting into it a lot. So, the passed few days whenever I got the time I started working on my first character model, Shrek. I think it’s going well for my first model. Anyway, I want to know if the topology of my model is good or not, and some feedback on the model as a whole. Do you guys think it looks like Shrek?
One more thing, you guys know Shrek’s vest, should I create it as a seperate object or model it from the same mesh? I’m going to try to rig the whole body; hands, face, arms, neck, etc. so I’m not sure which direction to go from here.
Looks pretty good so far. My vote for the vest is that it depends on what you are going to use this model for. Since this is in the game engine forum I’m assuming you are going to use him in a game. In that case, I recommend keeping everything as one model. That can make it a lot easier when you get around to doing animations.
If this is just going to be a static model, then I’d keep it separate but then you should probably get this moved to the “moddeling” or main WIP forums.
