Optimizing 4.0+ blend files for Blender 3.6

Because of my computer, Belnder 3.6 is the newest version I can use. I am able to open files made in 4.0 okay, but the issue becomes that the materials look weird in renders (typically a white color). I believe this is probably because of the new principled shade in 4.0. What can I do to fix this shaders, and is there anything else I’d need to fix for a 4.0 file to work with 3.6?

Not everyone has the same problem, so the exact cause of the problem will be known only by looking at the file in question.

I don’t know if there’s a problem with the shader because blender 3.6 is compatible with the upper version. It’s something I haven’t experienced.

I did a little digging and it seems that the subsurface is what’s causing the issue.
