Original Gameboy (Mostly finished)

Hey all,

So I’ve been working on this for about a month. In total I have around 55 hours into it.

I have no idea how the attachment system works here and I’m not sure if this is full res, but you can also see it at http://imgur.com/gallery/e44Rybd .

Critiques, comments, questions, and recommendations welcome!

You can watch the whole modeling process in my Twitch archive at http://www.Twitch.tv/AlexanderESmith if you’re interested. I stream as often as I can and try to give tips and such to people who are curious about modeling in Blender.

Thanks!

Edit

I’ve been asked a few times about the cart in the standing gameboy, it’s there ( http://i.imgur.com/AYZ3abB.jpg ). They sit really low and can’t be seen at this angle

Also, yes, I know, it should be red or blue. Or at least yellow. I’m truly sorry :c

wow! amazing attention to details and an excellent render! just one thing: the batterys say “Battery”, wouldnt they say “Energizer” or whatever other brand?

Thanks!

Actually, I went out of my way to NOT use a brand name battery. I suppose it’s a bit odd that the Nintendo brand is all over this but I won’t give a little something to Duracell or Energizer, but… Meh.

It’s the tiny little details that makes it great! The little reflection in the screen (although in the sun it was basically a mirror lol). Awesome work dude!

very nice, but the Gameboy that’s standing up now doesn’t seem to have the game inserted in the back or is it just the angle that’s making it look like its not there?

Correct; The carts sit REALLY low on those things, but it’s there - http://i.imgur.com/AYZ3abB.jpg

Yes, I know, it should be red or blue… >_>

for the battery labels - make one energizer, one duracell, then another type, and another different type… would be pretty funny

HA! That’s the best idea I’ve heard yet xD

Ah brings back memory’s
