Hi _ I’m using Blender 2.77. I can’t figure out how to turn OFF the grid when in an orthographic view. =[

“N” panel, under Display, “Only Render”. thats the only way i know of. why would you want to turn it off anyhow?

You cannot remove the grid in orthographic view and in one of the set views (front, right, top etc)
