OSX Runtime

If you release a runtime for OSX, what blender files do you have to include for it to run?

Just the app the you end up with!

Ahhhhhhh the beauty of macs:)

But when I put it up on filefront and get it on a mac w/o blender it says it is damaged/incomplete.

Does anyone have a solution?

Hmm… Maybe it is damaged or incomplete?

Maybe give it another go, but without filefront this time.
Also, put it in a zip archive first.

If none of the above work, then there are a whole bunch of dependancies that you can try throwing in the mix, but I don’t have them on me right now.

also, when u save a runtime, is there a way to protect the actual blend file from being edited? i dont like the fact that someone could easily just go to the file, right click show package contents then have the capability of changing the entire game

votrem, .blend security has been an issue for quite some time now, and in a nutshell, there is no easy way to secure it. There is one way of using scriptlinks, but it’s very easy to workaround (read my article here: http://bchynds.com/blog/?p=16 )

As far as the OSX runtime, ensure you are not trying to load a runtime that was created on a higher version of OSX, i.e. opening using Tiger when it was made on Leopard. I haven’t tested it myself since all my systems are using Leopard now, but it could cause some problems.

I’m positive I’m doing it right. Tiger all the way and zip archive. I guess I’ll just try it w/o filefront.
