i think its time we get one of these going to see what people can do with software like maya and max and photoshop and illustrator and wings and lightwave…

i think it would give the blender community a wider view of what peoople can do with other things. then the blender community will go and beat it;)

so here is my 1st contribution. the green thing at the bottom of the bowl is bc i forgot to texture it…

I don’t think there’s a need to show what Blenderers should ‘beat’. The image you give says enough (nothing special could be done by Blender a few years ago). It only shows that even with the best software simple images can be created.
It is the artist that creates the art, not the program. If artists can create better images with other programs, let it be an inspiration for blenderers, not a competition.
