("OTTIS" S.F.C) Horrific Game Preview W.I.Ps

Hello how’s everyone doing? :smiley:
here are some screenys of my Horrific game in the making(only my second game in blender lol) I made some breakthroughs today I
thought i was gonna quit cause i couldn’t figure out how to make my
main character use his axe to hit ppl, turns out you can’t use the same bones(from the character) on a separate object(axe) in conjunction with the collision bricks(it wont sense the collision!), you have to do the movement with ipos( im shure many of you already knew that but i didnt, thought i share that with everyone so you don’t go through that crap)

anyways i’m naming my game “Ottis” salvation forever crucified 8)
probably wont be able to finish the entire game but i will try to enter a playing demo

a lot of time tweeking the lights and trying to get the right shading on the textures (way too much time), the modeling helps some too. :smiley:

Awesome work Friedbrain. I really like the demon looking guy, and the character in tht orange suite, looks like he’s going to lose some bodyparts :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s some fantastic modelling work friedbrain! Looks like it’ll turn out to be a good high-quality game. I’ll be looking out for updates :slight_smile:

thanx Andy and JD, yeah right now I’m trying to fuigure out how to make
my monsters loose only certain body parts when hit, I think i’ll be able to do it, (I hope i can do it) and make it look realistic, still haven’t found a way too make a good blood splatter that i’m happy with so far the one i have looks pretty cheesy :-?lol…

ok…rmmm here’s a monster i might put in the game what does everyone think of it should i use it or thrash it? C&C please :stuck_out_tongue:

by the way the new bf-blender face editing tools are the coolest
ppl should try it if they havent already 8)

…yeah Grimreaper I’m using the bf-blender for the modeling part, you can’t go wrong with the new edit face tools.

Thanks Wiseman, i’m trying to have a wide variety of characters in the game mostly monsters an wierd creatures with their own little animations.

…I know, I think i should go back and simplify the meshes is just that i had this neat animation with that mesh, so i slapped the rock texture on it
just to see what ppls reaction was to the concept. So z3r0 d what do you think is a descent face count for a character like this?..(i’m still pretty green when it comes to making games).
