Our dinner table :)

Well I guess I am bored so I am trying to make our Kitchen table… I just want to know what you think about it? And what must I change?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a door quite like that one.

You mean the left door? It is the door to our basement and the stairs are behind that door. I hope you understand what I mean

raise the lamps and the table up a bit, you couldnt fit your legs under it, and tthe lamps are too low over the table. crank the spotlight samples up a bit as well.

keep it up!

Very nice so far. This is a scene for radioblender.

p.s. …better get some ceiling fans in your place. I have high ceilings also, and the heating costs during the winter are very high without the fans.

maybe put some kind of carving into the table and the legs and all… it looks too plain and stiff right now… loosen up! get decorative-

the lamps are LOOOW if you notice how the cord from the lamp to the ceiling is like 5 feet… and raise the table- other than that (what has already been said) I think it looks fine- needs textures now!

Well I raised the lamps a bit and the table. If you still think the lamps are to low, you may come to my place and I will show you how low they are ! ;):

And what is radioblender?

The not yet official version of 2.29 has much improved radiosity features that would add a nice touch to your scene. The emitters could be used instead of lamps to light most of (if not all of) your room.

I am not sure that radioblender is an actual term.

Your chairs are very straight, that don’t sitt very confortable. :frowning:

one of the most often used phrases in 3D: BEVEL BEVEL BEVEL.

this scene would look totally realistic if instead of making the table and chairs just out of cubes, you’d make them with small rounded off corners everywhere.

Doing this will improve your modelling skills a LOT.

Weel thanks for the tips! I will do my best

well no one has said this yet so i guess i will, materials

the lamps look fine now, because now you can at least fit a dinner plate under them  we need textures! a nice wood texture (and beveling)

Lamps still need to go higher. RAISE DA ROOF!
