i think those lyrics are a little extreme… i know its kinda just a joke but, to be on the safe side, blender is a privilledge to us. many of us have taken advantage of its flexible and free software. we still have blender 2.25. its good to enourage the team to bring back the game engine, but its really up to the developers and what they feel is more important or essential. for those who are truely interested in becoming professional, you should really look into another game engine that is more effeiceint and with more capabilities. blender is a good start for beginners. advanced people should move on. well, im just saying we shouldnt force anything on the developers esspecially when they’ve done so much for us, perhaps some patients may pay off and maybe not. It’s still good for being a free program.
Hee guys, wait, I was just thinking about how to let the developers know that there’re still many people who use or want the game engine. We can make a page where people can post there names if they want the game engine, and then mail the list of names to ton or just post into the .org forum. Or we can make a high quality super cool game, even better then all games before, as mission to show the developers what we do with it and maybe they think, hell yeah, that was good, we defently have to bring back the engine. , so maybe this works. But it should be more greater to keep that game totally secret until we finish it, even without screenshots. First of all we have to make a big team, and use teamwork to make the game, like: texture, scripting, modeling, programming, blender dudes.
But I think ton really wants to bring the engine back in blender again, but there’re still people who have some documentation and files of the engine which they won’t give away, maybe we can hire a murder for it 8) , lol.
not realy my style, but definately agree with the lyrics, put it in my mp3 collection (i assume there’s no copyright infringement attached, when copied to my friends!?!) .
Now with a lot of posts maybe some developer will bring the engine back…
heh thanks again everyone. i kind of intended the lyrics to be a bit… well… exxagerated. Im pissed. and about making a really good game just look at hellstation, crescent dawn, and the things brainstorm studios is doing. I dont know who else but everything is great. we need the game engine BACK.
