I did a search of the forums and was surprised to find that no-one had mentioned that the independent game Overgrowth has recently adopted Blender for use of its modeling and animating process and have even built their own import export plug-ins.

For those who don’t know of the project its not your average indie game, these guys are building their game from scratch and have worked with some top companies including Nvidia. Here is a link to their site, I highly recommend taking a look a their blog as the post many very informative texts explaining how they approach creating the game.

I personally see this as a great opportunity to help get blender more influence in the gaming world.
