Hi, I have some conture lines, which I want to fill with faces. The lines make positive and negative curves. I do the following (Blender 2.56beta):
Enter edit mode, select all the vertices of a face and than Alt-F. The face fills. But some, not all, negative curves also fill, new edges crossing outside the face and overlapping other faces.
Why does that happen? Is there a way to avoid it?
Thanks Mike, the fill is a little bit nicer, but the overlapping faces still exist.
Now I understood the origin of the problem. Its because first I fill a first face between two conture lines. In some cases, in positive curves with lots of vertices, the face doesnt fill with triangles to the opposite conture line, but first fills the same curve from one side to the other.
When I select the vertices of the next face later, I select those conected vertices. Blender includes the inner edges from the first face to the selection of the second face to be filled.
I have to try a bit more with beautiful fill.
