Hi, I’m new to Blender and 3D modeling and I’m facing an issue creating a UV map for my project.
I was following a tutorial that said to “pack islands” to get the parts in the UV map aligned, but my result is nothing like theirs and I don’t know what the problem is. Basically, it creates a lot of squares and the actual UV map parts are very tiny in the top corner. Does anyone know why it does this and how I can fix it?
What does your model look like, and how did you unwrap it?

I kept re-doing it and I’m not sure what it was, but the problem seems to have resolved itself!
Pack Islands usually just reorders the islands but does not unwrap.
This seems like you have oreviously unwrapped using the Lightmap Map method.
The only remedy to that would be a Maplight Light for sure
