Paint Direction?

Trying to find a way to mimic Paint Strokes. With a Paint Material it has a bumpy surface but only in 1 direction, I need to mimic the Paint Brush moving in a circular motion. It’s for painted Eyes on a Wooden Puppet.

Any ideas ?

Do you have an image showing the effect clearly?

Not sure if this will help …

The bumps from the Paint Brush following the direction, in my case need circular.

You can try using stencil mode and rotating the entire screen while painting. I know it’s a clumsy workaround, but it’s all I’ve got anyway.

Blender doesn’t have a dynamic stencil brush that rotates with the stroke direction?
I’m a bit lost with painting effects, the undo system kinda killed it for me, lol.
And I don’t know how I would go about creating it with nodes either, so…

I decided to go and check, so I fumbled around the interface and got it. In Blender 2.8+, under the brush settings under Texture tab, change the Mapping dropdown to “View Plane”. You now have a small checkbox under it called Rake. That means follow mouse orientation while drawing. Hope that works.

Ok thanks will have a look.
