Paint splash tutorial in Blender 3.0 .. any reference please

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good updated multi color paint splash simulation in Blender ? I google this topic and this forum but appears not available that I can see … or maybe I miss something … the one that I found appears very old using “smoke simulation” and fine tune with metaball and just 1 color … perhaps there’s a better way ?

Search for Blender+Multi-color+Splash+Fluids and then find a Fluid sim you like and combine that with a multi-color fluid sim tutorial and mix the two together or…Just use the tutorial for Iridescent Materials in Blender for the fluid material and have fun!

Thanks for the reference … the iridescent materials reference helps me to simulate somewhat a mix of color, but not quite the concept of multiple “paint fluid color” splash out.

Something like 1 emitter of fluid (flow) having 1 color material but the Domain Liquid only support 1 material. So how do you enable multiple emitters each with different color paint? something similar?

You could try this hack from this older 2.9 tutorial…

oh thanks so much. So the trick is to bake two or more emitters (flow) separately, one at a time to have 2 or more cache fluid set of data, each can be set with different material in the same Domain.
Excellent work around … only problem is the 2 fluid materials does not interact with each other but I suppose the “refractive/glass” type of material will some what take care of the combining/mixing of color to some extend for realistic effects.
