I got lazy on this one. I wanted to post something before the weekend. The 'painted cup ‘My first UV mapped object. Some of you may recognize the scene from Computer Arts’ photorealistic tutorial. I left out a lot, and the lighting is not the same.

looks good… especially like the look of the apple 
The table cloth needs something doing to it; not quite sure what. It looks as if the apple isn’t actually resting on the tablecloth dunno why, perhaps you could add an extra darker shadow around the base of the apple.

Nice job. I agree about the apple. I dosn’t look like it is on the table. If you could get a darker shadow under the apple, it would look better.
Thanks billythekid and Atariman. Here is the scene again, this time with brighter lighting. The apple was moved lower to meet table, and the camera’s placement was also adjusted.
