Paper book for the new version 2.x?

Hi, would you mind to tell me if there is a new Blender book for beginners (me) learning from the new version 2.5 of blender?

I would like to buy it from you.

Thank you, and any word will be helpful

Thank you

Hi, welcome to Blenderartists!
You can try this…

I haven’t read it, but it seems decent. the author, Roland Hess, is well known in the blender community and has written other books which I have read.

edit: Fax beat me to it! but he is right, do a quick google search before posting…

Thank you to you both for the information… and for the welcome!

I will do a deeper search before posting any question.
I will check your links right now to be inform.

Thank you once again

carlosgf

edit: I just wanted to know if those books form Amazon etc… belongs to the foundation, I mean if the blender foundation is going to get the money?

Yesterday I did not see the book (the one from Amazon) on the buy store of the foundation

Nope, Blender Foundations (the book) is not affiliated with (the) Blender Foundation  An easy way to know is this: everything that is affiliated with them will be on the Blender Foundation store.

Edit: I’m not sure the Foundation will get any money if you buy a book that is in their store but you get it through Amazon. Probably not, if the book wasn’t published by the Foundation itself. So if you want to contribute, to be on the safe side just get it from the store!

I will follow your advice. You have write it right Fax!

Thank you for the help. See you another time

By the way Fax, CONGRATULATIONS for your work on your site.

And, as you wrote “Is it just me, or is it actually a bit creepy that things are looking so real?”, I must agree with you, things are looking very well done, and have that real look.

Thanks a lot  I hope it motivates you to put some effort into learning Blender, with that book or another, that’s its purpose!
