I’ve been playing around with MapZone lately and created a brick wall texture with a normal map, but I can’t get it to render correctly without a parralax shader. I did a search, but I’ve only seen parallax shading used in the game engine. Is there any way to use it in the Internal renderer?
‘Parallax mapping’ isn’t supported in Blender, though there is something similar called texture warping. However you can render a tangent space normal map directly, by enabling the ‘NMap TS’ button, and adding your texture as you would for any bump map. For more info, both of these features are mentioned in past release notes @ blender.org
Yes, I tried warping already, but it didn’t have quite the effect I wanted. I’ll try the NMap TS button next. Thank you pointing me in the right direction.
EDIT: NMap TS was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!
Can you post a picture of what it looks like?
Thanks you
ititrx- You’ll find the button in the shader panel in the materials section.
