Particle and wieght paint

I was trying to put fur on my monkey, as wierd as it sounds, and was finding it difficult to put hair on the face. when i wieght paint, certain parts are messed up an hair pops up in places where there isn’t supposed to be, and with sharp angles(around eyes). The fur just doesnt look natural. help with this monkey business would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to read the documentation about fur at the wiki?

this thread is about posting tests.
if you want answers create your own post in the modelling thread or something.
And don’t reply on your own posts…
P

sorry, got a little board, wont do it next time, and i posted the same thing in the texture and lighting section, with no replies.

yes I did read the wiki tutorial and thats why I am confused on why the hair is going wierd. I was thinking maybe it was because i have very few faces and just subdivided it.http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/7803/2866/320/mokeyface.jpg

I figured it out, i remodeled without subsurf, then subsurfed it once or twice, converted it to a mesh, and put hair lenght and density using this tutorial:http://iluvblender.satishgoda.com/index.php?n=Tutorials.FlashAdvModelingGrowingGrassOnMeshes

It still looks wierd but here:

The images are not clear enough; what do you exactly mean with weird?

I fixed it, but if you look at the first image, right near the eye, the fur has a square edge on it. that area should have been smooth flowing with the weight paint.
