I have a plane emitting particles which hit a cone shape with a collision set to kill the particles. the idea is to emulate a bucket dumping water; the water being the particles.
The problem is that the particles dont seem to die when they hit the collision mesh. Instead they seem to hang there until there lifetime runs out.
To see the problem download the blend file and open it. you will first need to turn the particles emission amount on the plane to 5000 (blend file was too big without setting it to zero). Now hit Alt+A and let the animation run its 250 frames. It seems to be ok so far, but when it restarts back to zero you should see the issue.
I have blender 2.57 but it still acted funny in 2.56 too.
