The hair is brushed assymetrically in particle edit and the length has been edited. In the render. For both viewport and camera render I get the same result. Eevee shows the particle edit and cycles does not.
I think I can solve the eye transparency to work in Eevee as I had been through the process with “Alpha Clip” or “Alpha Hashed” before. By recreating the material.
But why is cycles not updating the particle edit? any simple or long answer?
I have two materials one of them had the skin color texture that I had made quickly just to see what it could possibly look like. The other is the one with the fur color in the particles tab- render. But the whole mesh is assigned to the “RSFeel” material and that one needed the particle info node.
So I removed the temporary skin texture and added the particle info node. Index to surface caused it to work, and location to volume. But there may be other place for volume also. I am no expert really. The particle edit is working in cycles. And in the long run I think I prefer cycles for this project. So I am good to go.
