particle hair over the whole model getting not good. can somebody tell me how to fix?

when i make models, and aplying the mirrormodifier after finnished modeling, and even if i dont use the mirror modifier, the tail or long parts of the models body hair gets clumped and not right. some hair there, but nothing there. what must i do to prevent this from haoppening? i use the default hair settings but in parent i use interpolated.

This can be caused by creating the hair system with the model at one Subsurf level, grooming the hair, then changing the Subsurf level. Hair systems are highly dependent on topology, and changing Subsurf levels changes the model topology. Always groom your hair at the Subsurf level you plan to use for rendering. Other modifiers that alter topology can also cause similar effects.
