Particle Objects piercing collider plane

Hello I’m new to Blender sort of after using ZBrush for over 11 years. I’ve set an animation using a particle system. My objects are a simple beer bottle that I’ve modeled. The particle emitter is a squashed dome made from a UV Sphere. I have gravity in the scene and the beer bottles are raining down onto the plane(with the plane set as the collider ). Most of the beer bottles bounce off the plane but there are some that pierce partially through before rebounding. I’ve looked into this and I have the permeability set to zero for the plane. I’ve also looked into the portion of the Physics panel for the emitter under integration and subframes but still some of the beer bottles are piercing the plane. I’m using the 64 bit version of Blender 2.69. What am I doing wrong here?
