I’m just wondering, is there a way to transfer Particle System Settings from one .blend file to another? Something related to how appending and/or linking works.
For example, I have x.blend which contains carpet particle settings and I want these settings to be transferred to ‘y.blend’, which currently doesn’t contain any at all.
you could simply copy / paste the object to a new file, then add a particle system somewhere and pick old settings from the dropdown… then delete the old object
Thanks, liero. But that doesn’t seem to work. I lost the ParticleSettings of the copied object when I checked. The source file also has fake users for other several particle settings as well and they didn’t reflect when I did this method.
