Particle System: a little help please.

Yesterday I started with the Particles System, but I got stuck quite soon. :frowning:

Please tell me the (few) things I must do to let a surface emits other objects (like Cubes). My plane now only emits “dots” and I just can not “parent” other objects to it (and I did try Dupliverts). I must miss something…

I am using 2.46.

In the Particles settings in 2.46 is a table labels visualization. Click the drop-down list and choose Object. Then enter the object name you want to use as the particle. There is no longer a need to use dupliverts and parenting for particles.
