particle texture coordinates

It seems like in belnder that every particle has the exact same texture coordinates. So, when you apply a nopise texture to the halo, for example, every partcle looks exactly the same. Is ther a way to randomize the texture coordinate of each particle so each particle is mapped a little differently?

I know I can change the offset over time, etc, but what about changing the offset per particle as they are emitted. It would produce much more realistic results…

In F6, MapInput tab, change the mapping to Global or Window.

Hmm. I tried that and I still get all the same looking particle. Im a newbie at Blender so I might be messing up something. COuld you post an example .blend that shows this working? I tried both global and window coordinates. I slowed the particles generated down so I could see just a couple at a time, and they were all the same.
