Particles being emitted Away from eachother?

I’m trying to remember the word that I learned from TechTV a decade ago so I don’t sound like a noob. But I’ll use the word “overlapping”

Is there a good simple way to prevent particles from overlapping/going through each other?

Sort of like a “self collision” button, but I don’t want any collision or physics effects or consequences. Just as long as they don’t spawn within each other.

At least in vrayscatter this counts as collisions, though without physics. It just considers a declared radius for the object.

I do not know how to do this, but I really hope it can be done. I am also struggling with the particle system and thinking if I post some questions myself.
