Particles colliding with Particles (i.e themselfs) Possible?

Hi,

So question is can this be done?

I have played about with the shatter modifier and particles to shatter a glass window effect.

Thing is the shattered pieces pass through each other! can this be solved with a tick box somewhere?

I would like to do some of these things:

  1. create a animation of blood cells lots of them passing down a vain and bumping into each other.
  2. create sand like in a sand timer, piling up on each other.
  3. create cereal being pored out of a packed into a bowl! coco pops or something (and colliding and stacking on top of each other)
  4. create floating rose petals that err collide!!

I feel its not possible and this is sad, I don’t understand why it is not possible??? as Blender can collided water with each other but I don’t want water as they are meta blob and stick together!

help.

Use the game engine to use rigid body physics simulation. Particle sim can only really sort of fudge spherical object collisions

Do some research on that and I’m sure you’ll have further more specific questions once you have a basic grasp of the game engine
