Can I make an object a particle (say a uv sphere) then add a particle system to the sphere? basically making a trail of particles coming from the original particles that are using the sphere object.
Hope that makes sense.
basically I want a bunch of spheres shooting through the air with a trail of particles coming from each of them. Maybe that is a little more clear.
around 50, I figured particles would be the fastest way of doing it. I’m probably going to have to scrap that part of the project and just have the logos flying through the air with no particles streaming off them.
I just tried it in 2.6. If I understand. Worked fine. i used a plane that that emitted a sphere object and the sphere emitter with halos set velocity up.
worked in 2.5 lowered amount and in materials clicked halo and reduced size ( on the particles from the spear).
its very tweekable
get the 2 velocities going close to the same direction. looks like I have the plane going down and the spears going left.
That would look like a hundred ships dropping out of a cargo bay… ad the velocity after they have fallen some.
Thanks for the ideas
very cool that is what I was looking for, I’ll have to play around with it more to see if I can make it work. Did it show up in your view port or only in render? Too late for my current project, but I’m sure I’ll need it for something else.
