Hi, I want to add particle fur on one side of an object, but if I add a vertex group, it seems to just display particles on other faces, with no particular pattern or reason (ie, it’s not just the surrounding, adjacent, inverse etc faces). Any ideas how I can fix this please?

Could you provide a more complete description of what you did? Did you actually assign the group and enter its name in the Vgroup: field under From: in the Particles tab? I’m thinking you need to do some weight painting on this vertex group.
