PASSIVE STEREO 3D

Dear frieds,
please let me very kindly ask you for help in creating a setup suitable for PASSIVE STEREO 3D application using Blender.

What it means? I have the NVIDIA GeForce FX graphics card with 2 outputs. I need to create an applicaion in Blender, where 2 cameras would create a view for the Right eye and Left eye. Each of the cameras must have its own setting for direction angle and position.

So for example the Right eye camera will create the visual output for the Right screen output (fullscreen) and the Left eye camera will create the visual output (fullscreen) for the Left screen output.

How can I create these 2 cameras simultaneously in Blender? Please send me a suggestion, how to achieve it and some examples, code.

Please answer to my email address: [email protected]

Thanks

Michal

Thank you very much.

Do you mean realtime blender (the game engine) or not?

If you don’t mean in the game engine, then why can’t you render twice? Once for each camera.

(though I guess playing back two videos simultaneously would take some effort, I couln’t tell you how to code that)

NO! I did mean the realtime engine. I am searching for ways how to create 1 large window (like 2048 x 768) and have 2 visual channels, each of a resolution 1024x768 pixels, each of these connected to one visual output from the GeForce FX.

The question is, if this is possible in the realtime engine.

The other possibility would be to synchronize 2 computers running a single channel Blender realtime engine.

Please advice if you have any ideas.

Thanks

Michal

This may not help at all bu I worked out how ots possible to view through 2 cameras at once each in a different viewport.

Make 2 cameras

Ctrl+0 cam one

In the view for cam 2 select all and go into local view (/)
now in the local view pain select the camera and hit Ctrl+0
Viola- 2 cameras at once, Alt+ shift+A will show animation in both views. Dont know about game engine - loull need to try it,

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate. I will try it and see what happens.

Sincerely
