Path animation - inverted loop

Hey all, just a quick question. I’m working on a path that will be the basis for a roller coaster, and any time I do an inverted loop, I run into a problem where the object that follows the path, or a curve extruded along the path twists suddenly in unexpected ways, presumably due to the y-axis constraint. Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

(it might be possible to use judicious tiliting of the points, but the only thing I’ve been able to do with this is make the problem worse.)

Thanks in advance.
