paths

how do i get a object to follow a path, go easy i’m 15

Ha cool i want to know the exact same thing abd im also 15!!! :Z

a cool i did find a tut but its to complexly writen to understand

I’m 13, I started when I was 10 or 11 (I can’t remember anymore %| ), to have a object follow a path, you have to select your object, go to frame 1 press “I” then select “loc”, then go to frame 20 and move your object, and press “I” again then press “loc” again. Now, go back to frame 1, and press alt+A, you should see your object move. To run this in the game engine,go to logic (F4) have an “always” sensor on your object, attached to an “and”, than to a “ipo” actuator. Set the “Sta” to 1, and the “End” to 20. Now run this in the game engine, and the object should follow your set ipo path.

If you want your object to follow a path that was created under the “Curve” buttons then your out of luck because I don’t know any way to have objects follow those paths in the game engine.

I hope I helped.

Hey, I’m 15 too, and I want to know how to do this, also.

maybe if you post a link to the tutorial, I might be able to decipher it
(on the other hand, maybe it’s too complex even for my vast intellect)
