I have 2 crits tho : At the beginning, when the hand is moving, you can see some part of the arm that seems not to be smoothed but maybe this is some artifact due to compression IDK …
Second crit is about the soundtrack that’s not synchronised correctly to the frames.
Everything else looks perfect and the textures and lightning are great.

GFX try downloading the DivX player known as,…‘DivX Player’. It is the only one that has worked for me on some of these. And it’s free. www.DivX.com I think.

thanks for the nice comments folks, and thanks for the crits serialsinner. I think it might be the compression on the hand; it is certainly smoothed. As to the soundtrack, I’m new at doing sound, so I’ll get better. I know its not perfect, but If you tell me where its most wrong that’ll help me avoid the same mistake in next project.

Wow…that was really something beautiful. I loved the moving of the chess pieces, and the sound effects were great, as was the lighting. Especially when he turned on those flourescent tubes.
My only crit is that, despite the fact that the stairs look like the come right out of the board, the pawn appears to walk “off of the screen” somehow…and disappears…I thought it was odd but maybe I just didn’t understand part of it. EXCELLENT WORK.

You couldn’t remember Tim Burton’s name? You know who directed “Cecil B. Demented” but you can’t remember the great Tim Burton? He did Batman, the Nightmare Before Christmas, Planet of the Apes, Sleepy Hollow, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Batman Returns, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure…the man is awesome.

DivX crashes on loading af it. dumb. i thouct there was a WMplayer patch you could get so it could play divX?
GFX did you know that you have to put the movie in a special folder that DivX player creates called ‘DivX movies’?
ok, now i get say the firts 2 seconds, then a big DivX logo comes up and it stops.
