We made this flying penguin because going outside is restricted and slowly it’s becoming boring to watch Netflix all day. I reworked the penguin which we used in a prior project and did the sky while Colin Behrens worked on the clouds and the balloons.
It was quite difficult to make the penguin look cute and not creepy😅
For the sky I used an hdr from Poliigon.com as well as a partially transparent background image that looked cool.
For the clouds Colin Behrens used a custom blender build from graphical to import some clouds from Disney and edited their material to work with blender.
As volumetrics produce a lot of noise he tested out the adaptive sampling for rendering.
Let me know what you think about the render, for me it does great as a phone wallpaper. We’d be very grateful for feedback
