I’ll post back here when I find out more, but there’s going to be a showing of Elephants Dream and Big Buck Bunny in Pittsburgh sometime next month, sponsored by western PA Linux Users Group and a creative place called “Creative Treehouse”. I’ll be speaking/demoing Blender, and I’m sure that anyone in the area Blender related will be welcome to come.
There’s also a one-day low-cost open source conference in Harrisburg in October. I’m probably going to be at that, too. It would be another good opportunity to meet up.
Please keep me updated on this Blender event. I’m new to the Blender scene, but I’d be willing to interact either way.

So did I, I moved about a year ago and I am temp. moving back here in the next few months. Did she happen to go to Lewistown or IV high school? Unless she’s older, then it would have been Lewistown or Chief Logan haha.
She went to CL, but changed to IV when the switched. She still has an old green CL hoodie.

Ok, you’ve got about 5 people interested at this point. Now would probably be a good time to start planning on a location, time, and date. 
Well maybe we should all figure out a centralized location that isn’t that far for everyone. Somewhere in the mid state is probably best, especially if anyone is in Philly (since harkyman is in Pittsburgh) but if no one is on the eastern stateline, we could shift the meeting closer to the west. I’ll go anywhere in PA so I really don’t care where it is.
How bout Hershey? or Harrisburg? or Philia? those places r a pretty good locations. but harkyman probably can’t come to any of those places. What’s best for you?
I lived in Philly for four years and would prefer not to go there if I really don’t have to. Bit of hole, imho.
We have friends in York, so an excuse to zip out toward Harrisburg is always fine, as long as it’s worthwhile.
A day at HersheyPark would be fun as hell, but its like $50 bucks to get in there now and another $10 to park. THEN, the food is outragously priced, but I’m game
HersheyPark…Yeah, but how would you have a Blender Group meeting at HersheyPark? You’d be screaming on a roller coaster saying"So Alt P does what!!!"
