Performance: "Double sided & subsurf" issue

first, apologize for my english… :slight_smile:

I have recently found an issue with subsurf on “non double sided” mesh.
When the double sided option is uncheck for all object, your fps should increase a lot on large scene. But if you use a subsurf modifier on your objects, uncheck double sided option doesn’t change anything… viewport fps stay low as if you didn’t uncheck the option.

Is it a limitation? a bug?
