The flames are a really nice effect. What tutorial did you use.
This would look good on a bigger composition, are you going to model the complete phoenix or is this just a hot foot.

I’ll probably try to model a complete phoenix at some point. I am trying to work on something else at the moment. I thought it was a cool technique/results and by going through it, I’ve got the files I worked on for reference. Ahh, so little time.
